Dr. Nick received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Boston University, and a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. During his 27 years of military service in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Lezama served in numerous leadership roles. He logged over 800 hours of flying time as a flight surgeon, including many operations in hostile environments. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force in 2014 at the rank of Colonel, Dr. Nick transitioned to working in the Department of Veterans Affairs. During his professional career, Dr. Nick coordinated and assisted in many emergency operations, such as patient evacuation during the Haiti earthquake, domestic hurricane response, and COVID-19 response consultations.

Dr. Nick has studied medical cannabis and has a thorough understanding of the benefits it can offer individuals with certain medical conditions. He is a compassionate physician who is eager to help push cannabis forward as a proven alternative medicine.
